Trusting Yourself

Trusting yourself to achieve anything

Writing this blog “Trusting Yourself” came after watching an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX recently, I heard the phrase “Trusting yourself and you’ll win anything.” I believe this saying is powerful and truly applies to anyone, regardless of whether they are on a spiritual path. It all centres around manifestation the law of attraction which brings clarity and wisdom that helps us moving forward.

Although “Trusting yourself and you’ll win anything” is simple as simple can be, achieving success through manifestation requires more than just belief. With patience, guidance, wisdom, and self-confidence, anything is possible.

Saying "you'll win anything" can refer to victories that range from very small to very large. The challenge is that many of us overlook our small successes and focus only on major achievements. While aiming high is admirable, it's important to recognise and appreciate the smaller wins along the way, as they help us continue progressing on our journeys. Additionally, when we encounter setbacks or minor losses, we tend to be overly critical of ourselves, which can lower our motivation and hold us back even more.

Reason for not acknowledging our small wins:

  • We live in busy lives, and we forget our small wins. This is down to lack of connection with ourselves.

  • Social media and competition foster complacency and inflated egos.

  • Rushed and aiming to get things done too quickly.

  • Perfectionism, where most of the common society, there is little chance of improvements with misleading social media context or false media is giving a false mentality that everything needs to be perfect.

  • Seeking validation or approval from others, or feeling dismissed, further diminishes recognition of our achievements.

Returning to the main topic of self-trust, it is essential to recognize that we are captain of our own ship in which we control our actions, outcomes, and the consequences we experience. By acknowledging our responsibilities, we actively shape our own futures through the decisions we make. When direction and purpose lack clarity, progress can falter, and challenges may cloud our judgment. Conversely, when our intentions are clear, navigating toward our goals becomes more straightforward. With confidence and conviction, reaching these objectives can become both more efficient and effective.

Ways to build trust within yourself.

Sometimes, even receiving something small can be a big deal. However, we often overlook these little gains. For instance, if you find 10p on the ground or receive it unexpectedly, you might think it's insignificant. But if you want to attract more good fortune, take a moment to appreciate that 10p and imagine how it could grow—manifest it as something special and a foundation for progress. Over time, that 10p can become 20p, then 50p, eventually £1, £5, and then £50 to £500 and so on. Remember, there is no strict timeline for achieving your goals; everyone progresses at their own pace.

When setting goals, make sure they are realistic, so you don't feel disappointed if you miss a deadline.

Small wins do not always have to involve money—they could be gifts, rewards, things you find on your journeys, or even non-physical gestures like kind words, emails, or messages that lift your spirits. These small acts can play a significant role in moving forward positively. Most importantly, whenever you receive something, always express gratitude, and appreciation. A simple "thank you" is a powerful way to acknowledge what you manifest.

What do we do when things aren't going our way?

As discussed earlier in this blog, our busy lives often impact our egos. When situations do not unfold as we had hoped, we can be harsh on ourselves and diminish our self-worth, which may eventually lead to significant consequences. On difficult days, it is important to pause, become more aware, and allow yourself time for reflection and self-care—perhaps even forgiveness. Sometimes, when things go wrong, we must learn to accept it, acknowledge that setbacks are part of life, and move forward. Showing control and discipline in such moments is already a victory itself.

Many of us make progress by moving several steps ahead, only to face a

setback that pulls us back. We tend to focus on that single step backward, losing sight of our progress, and end up feeling like we've slipped further than we actually have. Instead, it's essential to recognize and celebrate the steps forward without dwelling too much on the occasional stumble.

Ways to stay disciplined:

  • Stay grounded and centred.

  • Practise meditation or mindfulness.

  • Journal your tasks.

  • Set short-term goals that align with long-term ones.

  • Avoid negative influences.

  • Practise self-love and forgiveness.

  • Showing gratitude.

  • Focus and believe in yourself.
